What does the hourglass date represent on my 02-sensor cell?
The hourglass printed on the 02 cell label represents the warranty end date. Note: this does NOT mean it has expired or needs replacement if the cell meets original equipment manufacturer specifications.

Do flow sensors have an expiration date?
No - the date on the flow sensor represents a lot number. Flow sensors should only need to be replaced if they are not meeting the original equipment manufacturer specifications.

Where can I find a downloadable anesthesia system or ventilator technical manual?
Life support equipment service manuals are restricted to individuals who have attended GE HealthCare service training.

User and cleaning manuals don’t specify how to clean for known patient contamination, how long to autoclave, my specific brand cleaner, recommended cleaning intervals, etc. Is there someplace else where this information is documented?
No. GE HealthCare recommendations are published in the manuals. Please consult with your facility Infection Control personnel or have then contact the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention for additional guidance.

Can GE HealthCare take back and dispose of old vaporizers or calibration gas?
No. These are the property of the facility (or drug company) and must be disposed of in accordance with applicable laws and regulations.

Confidentiality. Information that is disclosed or provided by GE HealthCare to Customer or Customer's trainees/personnel through the Learn Material may be confidential to GE Healthcare, and will be identified as such. Customer and its trainees/personnel will treat such information as confidential, meaning they will not disclose the information to third parties unless required by law. 4. Warranty. LEARN MATERIAL IS PROVIDED “AS IS”, WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING, BUT NOT LIMITED TO, WARRANTIES OF PERFORMANCE, NON-INFRINGEMENT, MERCHANTABILITY AND FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE. 5. Additional GE HealthCare Policies and Terms. Learn Material may be subject to additional GE HealthCare policies, registrations, and terms and conditions, which are available upon request.
